Raised in the Bay Area, Leila is a writer/director interested in both genre films and personal stories. She is a 2016 graduate of NYU’s Film & TV program, and worked in New York for several years in the art department before moving to Los Angeles.
She continues to work in art department in LA while directing short films and writing features. Her work has screened at film festivals around the world, from Another Hole in the Head in San Francisco, CA, to Sci-Fi Film Fest in Sydney, Australia.
She is currently developing her first feature, Vessel, a horror film about a young disabled girl who discovers nightmarish secrets about her family in her quest to get better.
